FAQs

  • Where is MyKind located?

The MyKind team is located in the beautiful city of Geelong, Victoria.

Our hybrid working model optimises flexibility for connecting in community or virtual settings.

Our service area extends across the greater Geelong region.

  • How can a Support Coordinator be useful?

The Support Coordination role is flexible, varied, and tailored to each NDIS Participant.

We take the guesswork out of NDIS supports and processes.

Our team supports you to navigate NDIS systems, understand NDIS plans, connect to services and providers, build a collaborative Care Team, define budgets, maximise funding flexibility, prepare for plan reviews, and more.

  • Does every NDIS Participant receive funding for Support Coordination?

Many of the families we work with say, "We wish we had a Support Coordinator from the start!"

Unfortunately, NDIS does not include Support Coordination in all Participant budgets.

Did you know you can request Support Coordination funding?

You may wish to speak with your NDIS Planner or Local Area Coordinator to request the addition of a Support Coordinator to your team of supports.

  • What's the difference between a Plan Manager and a Support Coordinator?

Plan Managers are a valuable resource and ally for NDIS Participants. They help set up and manage NDIS budgets, complete timely invoice payments, and build skills toward self management.

Support Coordinators act as liaisons between NDIS Participants, Families, Therapists, and other teammates. We help Participants build capacity to act independently, understand NDIS systems, maintain stakeholder relationships, support funding flexibility and budget management, and define opportunities to engage with valuable supports and services.

Support Coordinators love working with Plan Managers to maximise funding flexibility for NDIS Participants.
